Tasmanian State Championships
Traditionally held in March, the Tasmanian State Championships are a true celebration of everything that makes our sport great.
Throughout the season, clubs trial their best combinations, and the anticipation builds—who will make what team and grade for the big event? It’s a time of nerves, excitement, and pride.
The ribbons are fresh, the special white pants and bandages are brought out, the horses are gleaming, and somewhere, the announcer is practicing in the mirror.
Over two thrilling days, players and horses give their all in pursuit of the coveted State Title.
Now held at our new State Grounds in Powranna, we warmly welcome all past players and members to join us in celebrating the legacy, community, and future of polocrosse in Tasmania.
National championships
Possibly the best polocrosse action you will see played anywhere in the world is at the Australian National Championships.
This massive event is held every two years and showcases the best players and horses from each state and territory, where they come together to compete for the Australian Champions title.
The National Championships are played on a rotational basis around the seven states and territories. One of the seven states hosts the competition on behalf of Polocrosse Australia.
On the world stage
At an international level, the pinnacle of Polocrosse has to be the World Cup.
To date, there have been five World Cup events — three at Morgan Park, Warwick Queensland, with Australia taking out the World Champions trophy (2003, 2007, 2019).
We can’t wait for you to come and play!
